Feasibility-Study for the Re-vitalisation of an inoperative Airport, 2017 Team: Gustav Düsing Sonia Cohan Blake Villwock Visuals by Grau Long Island is well known for tourism as a get-away from New York City. A large open landscape at the north side of the airport will offer a public program which pays tribute to the history of the site as an aviation hot-spot through a museum with the mission to educate and inspire new generations in the field of aviation. The latest inventions in the field of airplane design will be on display in a constantly updated design-museum. A simple yet sophisticated structure forms a large span pavilion with suspended walkways allowing visitors to experience the aircrafts in a three-dimensional and complex space.
